Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and services of Avgousti Advising, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
01.Services
We provide strategic advisory and tutoring services to premedical undergraduates, medical school applicants, and medical students. Specific scope is set forth in the engagement letter signed at the start of each client relationship.
02.Not a guarantee
Our services are advisory in nature. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to admission to any educational program, examination score, residency match, fellowship match, scholarship award, or other professional outcome. Past results do not guarantee future results.
03.Not medical or legal advice
Although our founder is a licensed physician, services provided through Avgousti Advising do not constitute medical advice, the practice of medicine, or the establishment of a physician-patient relationship. Information regarding legal, financial, tax, or immigration matters is provided as general guidance only and does not constitute legal, financial, tax, or immigration advice. Clients should consult licensed professionals in those domains.
04.Engagement terms
Specific scope, fees, and ongoing obligations are governed by an engagement letter signed by the client (or parent/guardian, for clients under 18) at the beginning of each engagement. Submission of the inquiry form does not constitute an engagement.
05.Intellectual property
All proprietary frameworks, datasets, methodology, and content provided by Avgousti Advising remain the intellectual property of the firm. Clients receive a personal, non-transferable license to use deliverables for their individual educational and admissions purposes only. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
06.Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. Clients agree that proprietary materials, methodology, and frameworks shared during the engagement are confidential and may not be redistributed.
07.Client testimonials
Client testimonials displayed on our website are published with explicit consent from the named individual or, in the case of anonymous testimonials, with permission to use the quote without identifying details. Testimonials describe individual experiences; outcomes vary.
08.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid by the client in the engagement at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
09.Dispute resolution
Any dispute arising out of services or these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules. Arbitration shall be held in the State of Illinois, the governing law of which shall apply, unless otherwise agreed in writing in an executed engagement letter.
10.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11.Changes to terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted to this page; continued use of the site or services constitutes acceptance.
12.Accessibility
Avgousti Advising is committed to providing a website accessible to all users in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us via the inquiry form so we can address it.
